The African Animated Shorts Experience 2 (TAASE) is a new event in its second year running after the massive success of the maiden event last year, 2023; the screening event aims to shine a spotlight on the African continent's incredible talent in animation and comics. This isn't just about showcasing some cool films and artwork, even though we will achieve this, but it is about uniting artists, fostering cultural exchange, and letting the world discover the magic of African storytelling from mostly independent animators.
Imagine a room buzzing with energy, filled with aspiring animators, seasoned comic creators, and film enthusiasts…. that's the kind of atmosphere TAASE is cultivating. It's a chance for African artists to share their work with a global audience, and for everyone else to experience the unique stories and perspectives coming straight from the continent.
Do you think you have what it takes to be part of this exciting event? If you're an animator from anywhere in Africa, dust off your latest short film, a maximum of 10 minutes and no older than 5 years, and get ready to submit it in accordance with submission guidelines. TAASE2 is searching for the most captivating and innovative works to grace the big screen.
This is your opportunity to share your vision with the world, side-by-side with other talented creators; we will have an Audience Choice Award, and your entry could be the winner this year.
